Boyfriend had a baked pork chop curry rice ($68). This smelled fantastic when it arrived. It was also a bit spicier than usual curry. The pork chop was moist and tender. There was a roasted potato on top with a crispy potato skin.
I ordered the dinner set ($68). This came with a Chinese soup and drink. The soup was a basic carrot and squash soup. It was fine. Very rich in flavor.
There was only two sets to choose from. The other didn't seem to interesting so chose this one. This is the sweet and sour shrimp and pork. It came wit ha big bowl of rice which I shared almost most of it to boyfriend. They seemed to use canned peaches here instead of the usual pineapple. I find that a lot of places do that now to make it different but I still prefer pineapple. The shrimp was big and fresh. The pork meat was moist but cut in huge chunks. The taste was a good balance of sweet and sour but it was too gooey in texture. A bit too much cornstarch was used.
The food was a generous portion for not a very expensive price. Place is very clean. I also noticed that the people that worked there were all senior citizens. Was this one of those places that hire seniors?
