BLT Burger, part of the BLT Steak group but with a focus as a casual burger place has two locations in Hong Kong. One in Tsim Sha Tsui's Harbor City and the other in Causeway Bay's Times Square. The menu was actually the placemat. It was in English. There is no Chinese but staff do speak Chinese and fairly good English. Serving various burgers, they strangely only had combos available for select burgers. I thought that was ridiculous. Why the need to make everything so limited? Why couldn't they follow other restaurants and just add a certain amount of money to add fries and drink for all their burgers? Just have a set price. Thus, my friend who wanted the Roaring Forties Blue couldn't make it into a combo. So, I ended up getting a combo and giving her my fries.
Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken ($118). We shared a salad. This was actually bigger than both of us expected. There wasn't enough dressing so it was a bit dry. The chicken was also dry.
Classic Burger ($98 with combo $158). As my friend wanted fries but her burger could not upgrade to a combo deal (HOW RIDICULOUSLY LIMITING!!) I gave her my fries as I'm not a big fries person. She chose waffle fries which I dislike even more. She seemed to like them ok. My burger was the classic. This was a 7oz Angus beef patty. It was over cooked and dry. The bun was fine but the patty was so just so dry. There was a small bit of cole slaw that wasn't acidic enough. It was just some shredded cabbage with mayo. Though I did enjoy the pickle. But for this price, I expected something better.
A mediocre burger with a high price tag. Definitely not value for money. Service was ok. But I definitely won't be back. There are much better options for burgers in Causeway Bay. This is not one of them.
