after a big lunch at mandarin oriental, headed to lippo center for cake... oh, the little shop is closed on sundays then we turned to pp, and bought 3 pieces of cakes: - tiramisu: i'd say, this was one of the most disgusting tiramisu i've ever tried. the cheese layers were tasteless, without the cheesy texture, just like some white mousse. no coffee taste, the cake layer was very wet, so watery that the base of the cake was all wet. yet, not a slight trace of coffee aroma or wine taste. wh
then we turned to pp, and bought 3 pieces of cakes:

- mango delight: well, nothing to say... the only thing tasted right are the few pieces of mango cubes, at least they were very mango-tasted (they were fruits, not made by the bakery). two layers below the mango toppings, one white and the other yellow in color. how they tasted? i didn't know, as i couldn't tell what i was supposed to be swallowing...
- marble cheese cake: my friend's choice, commented it no cheese taste, and too sweet.
hey, with a price of $26 per piece and a shop located at pp, i did have a higher expectation...
this is an example of 虛有其表...
maxim's cakes are way better, and just cost $4 per piece!!!
