We visited Dear Lily on a Monday evening, for my birthday celebration. My besties did the research earlier on, and discovered this new gem in town and decided we should go for this special occasion.When I arrived, my two besties were already seated at the heart shape table under the “castle”. When I arrived, my two besties were already seated at the heart shape table under the “castle”. For a second, I thought they have specially made that reserved, but after clarifying this restaurant doesn’t do any reservation service as there are only 28 limited seats indoor. Thus, all tables are first come first serve.
The interior design is based on a European romantic, classical theme, with a lot of flowery and vintage decoration all around the restaurant. Looking around each table is pretty small excepts those that we are sitting, which has a similar one on the other side of the restaurant.
The first round that was served was the Tuna Poke and Dear Lily burger Short Rib Burger.

Tuna poke - it was served with avocado and a small piece of crisp. The presentation is delightful. What makes this poke different was the dip that was light and refreshing. Would highly recommend if you are like a fish and avocado fan like I do!
Dear Lily Short Ribs Burger - As I do not eat beef, I skipped the burger, but the fries were pretty good.
Next come all the mains - the poached seabass, wild mushroom risotto, cornfed chicken.

Poached Seabass - The seabass was nicely prepared with the nice olive oil & salt flavour and served with crushed potatoes. This dish was light but a filling one!
French Cornfed Chicken - The chicken was served with a homemade rosemary dip. The chicken was tendered and it goes very well with the dip as it gives the meat nice flavouring.

Wild Mushroom Risotto - This was definitely the highlight of the night. Personally, I am not a big fan of risotto in most cases as I found them too cream and stuffy. However, this risotto was not too cream based, but with a strong black truffle taste. I simply can't stop having another bite of this addictive risotto. Highly recommend for truffle fans!
Truffle skinny fries - This was definitely something that I was expecting the most as a black truffle fan. It was served with the generous amount of black truffle on top, however, it turns out that fries were too oily at the bottom as it is soaked with oil .

Apple Yuzu Cremeux - They pre-ordered this little cute cremeux as my birthday cake and the restuarant has kindly helped to add birthday wishes on the dish. The cremeux was fresh with a clear yuzu flavour. With the biscuit at the bottom, it creates a nice combination with crispiness. However, the berry sauce was a little too sweet. It was a great end to this celebratory meal!
All in all, it was a delightful experience, with great atmosphere, presentation of food and amazing company! Food in gerenal is delicious but towards the oily and flavoured side, but definitely recommend to have a try especially for speical occasion.
