Located in the historical building of Woo Cheong Pawn Shop in Wanchai, finds a elegantly decorated Italian restaurant @crust_italian - I was there for lunch earlier:"Homemade ravioli with ricotta & buttered spinach" The ravioli here was in a much larger size than usual, in fact it's in a thick long ribbon shape, which is nice as the ratio of that creamy spinach filling is higher. "Half spring chicken marinated in spicy herbs with roasted potatoes"
A literal half spring chicken in spicy herbs - a bit of Middle East kind of flavours. The meat was tender and the skin was roasted to a crisp. Potatoes on side were tasty too.
"Melted Provola cheese with marinated olives"
The first time having this Provola cheese, surprisingly that cow milk flavour was pretty intense, the baking was done perfectly, crispy surface with a gooey filling. Yum.
"Bruschetta, “polpette” beef meatballs in tomato sauce"
On top of the traditional bruschetta featuring diced tomatoes on toast, they added meatballs just to add complexity to the dish. A solid starter.
"Caffe’ Affogato (scoop of “crema pasticcera” ice cream & espresso)"
This dessert would never go wrong, here it used a crema pasticcera (which is like a thick custard) flavoured ice-cream topped with lemon zest, which was really refreshing. The scoop blended nicely with the coffee.
