Summer beach day at Discovery Bay ended us here for a Korean bbq sesh. It seemed like everyone had the same idea, as the restaurant was bustling with diners enjoying their Sunday evening. We were fortunate to snag a window seat, offering both the cool aircon from behind and a lovely view out front. Once we settled in, we were promptly served 3 banchans (side dishes) of kimchi, radish, and wakame seaweed. The staff were incredibly attentive, refilling them without us even having to ask!𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝟭+𝟭 𝗛

We were thrilled to find this offer on Korea’s top-selling beer brand! Superbly light and refreshing, it perfectly complemented our meal and helped to beat the heat (kudos to the iced cup that kept our beer chilled)

𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗥𝗶𝗯 𝗛𝗞𝗗𝟯𝟵𝟴
First time having k-bbq with meat that had already been partially grilled, which is a total time-saver! The short ribs were tender and bursting with flavor, so we hardly needed to use the sesame oil, gochujang (red chili paste), green chili, or garlic. We did enjoy wrapping the meat in crisp lettuce to cut through the richness though. Remember to grill the potatoes and mushrooms on the side first as it could take a while.

𝗠𝘂𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗺𝘆𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗞𝗗𝟭𝟮𝟴
The waiter kindly assisted us in cutting up the lengthy, chewy wheat noodles, while the ice-cold broth offered a delightful balance of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors (even without adding in the mustard). Paired with crisp cucumber, crunchy radish, and a perfectly cooked egg, this dish was incredibly refreshing, just what we needed on a hot summer night.

𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗞𝗗𝟴𝟴
There were 3 enormous pieces of these juicy dumplings, which can be either fried or steamed. We got the fried version, which had a crunchy skin and were generously packed with a satisfying blend of minced meat and veggies.
p.s. you can get a free ride back to town if you spend HKD250/pp (need to redeem at DB Plaza Concierge though)
