This is a sliced cake from Maxim's it is also sold in other Chinese bakeries.I found that the Maxim's one was much more firm, it had a strong butter smell too.It was very sugary, just like the usual Chinese bakery, the usual sweet and buttery smell.It must be the typical Chinese butter that they use.
