Came here for lunch one as my bench department in charge was treating us. Originally we were thinking of doing Japanese but it was closed that day, so we came here instead. Reason for buying us lunch is it was for Mid Autumn festival.A LONG LONG time ago when this opened, I tried it and didn't really come back. It was ok. Not great. The setting is dark and very dated. Curtains were drawn and there wasn't enough lighting. I don't know what mood they were trying for but it was a very old fashioned mood.
I ordered from the lunch set which is one appetizer, one main and one drink for $98.
Vietnamese Spring Rolls. This was my choice of appetizer. What a mistake but I looked at what my coworkers chose as appetizer and theirs was worse. The spring rolls were not only super oily, but chewy and limp. I suspect they were fried before hand and then reheated in the microwave to warm them up again.
Seriously, for $100 per person for a lunch set, this was not worth it at all. One of my coworkers ordered Hainan chicken rice. As far as I know ... that is now Vietnames and this is a Vietnamese restaurant. Good grief. Will not return. At least on my own and me paying anyways.
