Boyfriend and I were exploring the world of Hung Hom eats. There are so many little small street eats with new ones that pop up every time we're there. On this evening, we came across here: 魯一式, a small take away only stand selling Chiu Chow street eats.Menu is in Chinese only. They have no English and as it's take away only, there is no 10% service charge. But what they sell is various Chiu Chow marinaded items. You can even have it served on top of rice or Chiu Chow style rice rolls.Boyfriend

Boyfriend and I ordered a box of Chiu Chow style rice rolls topped with various marinaded items. It may look like something threw up on it, but trust me. It tasted great. The fat pork belly was soft and savory. There were bits of crunchy marinaded vegetables. The Chiu Chow rice rolls were nicely shredded but a bit too wet in my opinion. I think there was too much sauce. What was interesting is it seemed to have some egg in it? I wasn't sure and boyfriend said this was normal. I had never had this so this was definitely different.
Yes, you do stand on the street eating this but the taste is superb. This is definitely not usually found every where. Worth a find.
