Tsim Sha Tsui has always been my favorite place to hang out after work. Knowing that a new restaurant was opened in the Miramar Mall, I must try it out as I always hang out there for school some nights every week.This Chopped House is a second branch in Hong Kong. Seafood, Watercress & Lime Salad $118This refreshing salad is perfect to round out the meal. The water cress is a bit peppery and tangy in taste and crunchy in texture, which is quite interesting, as Chinese people normally use this for soup. The sourness of th e lime and lemon brings out the squid flavour, which matches greatly with the watercress.
Mushroom Garlic Toast $95The wild mushroom is sauteed with some butter, served best with the toast with a bit of Greek cheese. Simple yet delicious!
Roasted Chicken & Caramelized Onions Flat Bread $90This flat bread is actually just like a pizza. I particularly like the carameized sweetness of the onions, which brings a kind of honey flavour to the chiken. The huge bunch of rockets balanced the sweet and cheesy feeling.
Mussels Marinere $120 Mussels are cooked to perfection with their own sauce and white wine. Mussels are tender with the hint of wine teasing your palates. Just remember to put those onions in the middle to enhance the flavour.
Mixed Grilled Meat Platter $398 This platter is perfect for greedy person likes me, who has difficulty to choose because they are all you want. It comes with lamb chop, steak and sausages. Out of all the cuts, I like the lamb chop most. All the cuts are at our desired doneness. The lamb chop is delicate, juicy and tender, love how the grilled fat sends flavour to my mouth. Sauce is plate licking good!!The round steak is about 3 or 4 inches thick yet keeping its tenderness with perfect amount of red in the middle.
Garlic Prawns $180 The saffon adds such a lovely, bright golden color to the rice. The floral aroma is unique to me. I also like the prawn!Yum
Crispy Skin Salmon $175As the name already suggested, skin of the salmon is so golden crispy like a chip.However, the salmon fillet remains moist. The seasoning is also light enough not to overcharge the freshness of the salmon. Love the garnishes as well, especially the buttery mash!
Time for some desserts... I ordered two desserts, which are also my favorite dessert from Ireland and here maintains the same quality!
Bailey Cheesecake $65 This Baileys cheesecake fits the dinner perfectly, it is rich and creamy with a nice hit of Baileys Irish cream in both the velvety cheesecake and the biscuit base provides a lovely contrast of texture
Apple Pie with custard sauce $65The pie is so very tender and soft and is jam packed with apples. The apples hold their shape very well when baked and still almost have a little crisp to them. There is just the teeniest tiniest bit of spice of cinnamon, love the custard sauce which brings the pie up to the next level too!
Had 1 cucumber mojito drink and 1 strawberry brewito, both are lovely and fresh, perfect choices to balance the fat and meat. Will definitely pay another visit with friends for happy hour and munchies next time!
