Christmas Tea Buffet disappointment

We had the lunch menu here before, and enjoyed it very much, so when Ivy was offering a Christmas Tea Buffet, we naturally expected the same high quality. How wrong we were. The photo on the advertisement showed sandwiches, macaroons, cakes and other desserts, so that is what we were expecting. We had the lunch menu here before, and enjoyed it very much, so when Ivy was offering a Christmas Tea Buffet, we naturally expected the same high quality. How wrong we were. The photo on the advertisement showed sandwiches, macaroons, cakes and other desserts, so that is what we were expecting. When we arrived (at 3pm, when the Tea Buffet was meant to start) we were told to wait a bit at our table. That wasn't an issue, except that we were kept waiting for over 15 minutes. In this time we were told that the buffet was being rearranged from the lunch buffet, although we just saw more of the same desserts being brought out. When we were finally allowed to start, the buffet looked like it was the left-over desserts from the lunch menu. The macaroons, for instance, had gone soft, like they'd been sitting out for too long. There were no sandwiches or other savory dishes at all. The tea was weak and the experience overall disappointing. For over 220 per person, this "Christmas Tea" was not worth it.
