This visit to Shiro at Hysan Place wasn't my first and it sure won't be the last. For a while now I had been intrigued by the brand new concept of "Crystal Sushi" that has been the talk of town lately. Yesterday, I finally got the chance to try it along side a few of my all time favourites. We began the meal with rolled spinach that came with a fragrant sesame / peanut sauce that was ground fresh at the table. I had this before and it is just wonderful every time, so healthy and green - you can't go wrong. Next came the grilled chicken cartilage skewers I had never tried before but was eager to test. I must admit that while the colouring was mouth-watering and the lemon juice complimented the dish, I really didn't care at all for the unusually crunchy texture so it wasn't a favourite.

Being the gluttons that we are, we were far from done. Next we had a yummy array of tempura, which included the usual condiments and came golden crispy and light and had just the right mix of ingredients from heart-warming pumpkin and sweet potato slices to juicy prawns.

ng and out of the ordinary is definitely the Crystal Sushi, because each and every one of them was unlike any sushi I've ever had - a truly special experience not to be missed.
題外話/補充資料:
Ask the staff in what order to eat the Crystal Sushi and what drinks to have with it to get the most enjoyment out of this taste sensation.
