I would never expect to find a Vietnamese restaurant in the middle of a wet market in sham shui po. And it's surprisingly good too. I tried the pho and the vermicelli, both $30 each. The pho has a sweet beefy flavor to the broth, with aromatic herbs and spices. It's comes with a mixed assortment of beef parts, like tripe, tendons, and meat.

I like the vermicelli the best. It's refreshing and light, perfect for a hot summer day. I chose the lemongrass pork chop and egg roll. The egg roll was deliciously crispy. Toss it all up with pickled veggies and fish sauce and you have a recipe for a great meal.

For $2 more, add a drip coffee. It's packed with a strong punch of flavor, which I like. You get to mix in the desired amount of condensed milk. For me, two heavy spoonfuls is just the right amount.

Don't expect much from the decor or environment. It's in a dai pai dong, so be prepared to sit with loud middle aged locals throwing back a few beers and whiskey.
