I was a super fan of the old 雲陽閣.  new its rebranded and moved to causeway bay for a while and finally i had a chance to come.I dont usually need a menu. What i order in here is almost the same every time. And thus its standard is right in my mind that i could tell each time if its doing good or not.The signature 4 appentizers was doing good, the 燈影牛肉 keeps its standard and its reputation. I was a super fan of the old 雲陽閣. 
 new its rebranded and moved to causeway bay for a while and finally i had a chance to come.

I dont usually need a menu. What i order in here is almost the same every time. 
And thus its standard is right in my mind that i could tell each time if its doing good or not.

The signature 4 appentizers was doing good, 
the 燈影牛肉 keeps its standard and its reputation. However, i dont like the vege roll this time. 
Its had a very strong unpleasant smell from the tofu skin, can say its either too raw to the natural taste, or its not treated well. I couldnt stand its strong smell and just had a bite then gave in.


Then my favourite, 水煮魚. The fish was as smooth and tender as before. 
The soup base was as excitedly hot, and still kept the temperature and saw it boils when it came. The sprout got the hot taste of the soup and taste really exciting to my tastebud!! Not sure if the 2 of us were too hungry tonight, we found the portion, piece count, of the dish was smaller than before. 


We also had some noodles and thats all. 
Ahhh, worth to mention the popcorn it served was good too! 
 A little spicy and its better than the usual Sichuan restaurant that offers pickles and peanuts. 

We quite love the new place as it looks modern and spacious. 
It kept the standard and i'd love to come back again as often as i did. Em, probably will try the new menu next time?
