Was thinking japanese offerings in a shopping mall would be pretty standard fare but not so. Offered some dishes on the menu you dont normally see.Went for a family celebration so ordered more than we would for a normal dinner outing. Started with sushi, although they have sets we picked from the a la carte, the Striped Jack Sushi being my fave. We also picked the Sea Urchin and fatty tuna sushi combo, the 'ocean ' taste of the sea urchin was not that strong but the texture was was creamy and

We also picked the Sea Urchin and fatty tuna sushi combo, the 'ocean ' taste of the sea urchin was not that strong but the texture was was creamy and the portion size was good.
For our salad we opted for the Green Salad with Octopus in Pesto Sauce. Liked that the octupus was sliced into large thin slices but still nice and chewy.
Couldnt decide from the selection of tempura on offer so went for the standard platter which had a nice mixture. The batter retained its lovely crispyness from beginning to the end of the dish.
We tried two beef dishes, the ox tongue skewer and the sliced Angus ribeye, the ox tongue had nice texture and was well seasoned.
We also ordered the Deep fried stingray, the fish was not overcooked and was nice and most in its crispy casing.

One dish that reminded me of Japan was the Matsuba Crab & Rice in stone pot. A mix of crab meat, crab paste and crabroe served on top of the cooked rice. The different textures complimented each other once mixed into the rice.
With the comfortable surroundings and good service, made the whole dining experience enjoyable.
