A new Take Away cake shop, I was told to visit it on its Opening Day to give them a try. The Dessert chef here trained under the venerable L'Ecole Lenôtre, a Cooking School operated by one of France's most prominent chefs, who during his career has been selected as French Chef of the Year by the French Culinary Press, France's Best Pastry Apprentice Award, as well as the youngest Two-Star Michelin Chef of France. ~ The Cookies I tried include Walnut, Butter and Chocolate. They are really crumbly and buttery, much better than many other so called cookies shops and exactly how I like them. 4.5/5
~ The Chocolate Tart was a bit plain. Good chocolate flavours, but set too hard. A bit boring, but better pastry shell than Pomme in Wanchai. 3/5
~ Tiramisu's texture was spot on.
There isn't a lot of mascarpone cheese taste (which doesn't carry much flavours anyway), but at least it wasn't just cream. There seems to be some alcohol taste, but there is no coffee taste at all, also no eggs taste. Could improve vastly if it had more cheese, eggs and coffee taste. 3/5
