I picked this company because they offer delivery services in a few different locations in Hong Kong. I was also recommended by my friend with this shop because of its quality cake as well as warm heartfelt service. Sesame Mille-Feuille ($328)
The shop do offer a wide range of cakes with different texture and innovative ingredients. Since Mille-Feuille can commonly be found in any cake shops, Sesame Mille-Feuille is quite unusual to be seen. As a nut and seed lover, I can't be happier to see this option on their menu! I picked the cake up from Diamond Hill MTR station which didn't cost anything. The service was nice and friendly even though I was late for around 5 mins. The box was nicely designed to secure the fixed position of the cake, and ice packs were also provided on the side to keep the tempreture low of the cake during this super hot summer weather!
For this cake option, you may choose from 6 inches up to 10 inches. Since we are only sharing among 3 people, we went for the smallest one which is 6 inches, costing $328.
The flaky goodness contains Black sesame creme patisserie, flaky puff pastry, Japanese red bean, mixed berries, dried rose, coconut flakes, and chocolate pearl.
Once I cut into it, I can feel that the cake was freshly prepared since the puff pastry was still super flaky and crispy in the whole cake. The two layers pastry was holding the black sesame seed cream firmly in between the layers. The decoration on top was also pretty amazing. The Sugarless Japanese pure black sesame paste is adopted together with Valerie’s creme patisserie recipe. The low sugar recipe is healthy but still tastes rich and flavourful, with a prominent nutty grain-ey texture to it.
My dad was so happy to see this cake and we could easily finish half of it in no time! My parents literally asked for a refill twice! I think this can easily be my cake-go-to in the future simpy because it was very accessible, it was tasty, it was fresh, the price is reasonable, and livery is also available!
