Cozy restaurant with small dishes

I always like to support local restaurants but I will probably not recommend this one to my friends. The exterior of this restaurant looks cozy so we gave it a try.  The menu was nicely prepared but the food quality was not exactly when we expected. Risotto with black truffle tasted as it were cooked with soy sauce; way too salty for some reason.  Other dishes like carbonara linguine were really average. The exterior of this restaurant looks cozy so we gave it a try.  The menu was nicely prepared but the food quality was not exactly when we expected. Risotto with black truffle tasted as it were cooked with soy sauce; way too salty for some reason.  Other dishes like carbonara linguine were really average. The pan fried fish was really small and the side dish was just few thin slices of potato; not filling at all for dinner.  I think they could be more generous with the side dishes considering the price. The pumpkin soup that came with the set dinner could have been less watery.  The pizza that I didn't try myself looked OK but don't expect it to be loaded with toppings.  Overall, it was slightly better than fast food chain in terms of quality but I felt it was overpriced for the quality (and quantity) offered. In terms of service, one waitress was knowledgeable but I notice that they would not let you choose you own table unless there is no other empty table left to fit you and your parties. I think there is lot of room for improvement.
