2021 is nearly over and I had a day off from work today and hadn’t been to Westwood since covid . I had a craving for a prime rib beef sandwich with fries and couldn’t think of another place to go. Got there early and promptly seated in a good corner table. Ordered the large USDA prime rib beef sandwich lunch set at $178. The set comes with a soup and drink. Then the main course arrived, and boy did it look 👀 good. Massive slices of juicy rib eye beef with horseradish sauce sandwiched between two lightly toasted soft baps, fries sprinkled some tasty seasoning and an apple!
As I ate into the first sandwich the soft toasted baps gelled perfectly with the succulent USDA prime rib which melted in my mouth. The meat is top quality and slow roasted to a perfect medium rare and too be honest the best prime rib in Hong Kong Ive ever had! If that wasn’t enough to tickle the taste buds the meat dipping sauce adds another sensation! The toasted baps which are fluffy and porous 🧽 are perfect to soak up the rich meat dipping sauce which softens the bap and makes the rib eye even more juicy and tasty. The french fries are a perfect companion to the carb/protein and well seasoned, but not overly salty. This was all flushed down with a coke no sugar which I duly noted how they didn’t just give you a straw, they give you a nice tall glass with ice and a wedge of lime to elevate your soft drink.
Hands down (in my humble opinion), good location, good service and the best prime beef in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and well worth $178.
