The scones may crumb, but their froyo rocks! So far among all the froyo I tried, Crumbs is the creamiest and silkiest, so smooth that you slide down your throat like gelato. It did not melt quickly like other competitors (Holly Brown or Funky), and after 15 mins till I chowed down to the bottom of my large size cup $32 (the small cup during my first visit just ain’t enough for me ) , it was still holding its shape. I didn’t think much of their house-crumb as topping, but the meringue topping

I didn’t think much of their house-crumb as topping, but the meringue topping is quite unique. While not over-the-hill good, it still provides something different from your normal mochi minis.
Something that some of us have been discussing is that there seems to be always a compromise between tartness and creaminess. It appears that for creamy milky froyo the tartness has to suffer, which applies to te froyo at Crumbs.
In terms of texture Crumbs’ froyo is definitely my top choice. If they have the same level of tartness like Yo Mama, it would have been perfect. Like other food such as wonton noodles (the hard to find perfect combination of noodle, soup, and wonton), why can’t you have the best of both world?
Despite the constant never-ending long queue, service is courteous and professional. That helps to prevent impatient customers who have to wait 20 minutes for a froyo under the hot sun.
