Followed a cafe hopper’s IG to the soft opening of this hidden cafe. Luckily they were not too busy on Sunday.Ordered (1) tomato, Camembert sourdough ($74), avo loaded ($98), a rose latte (added $15 for the set) and extra $5 for soy milk and the espresso tonic $33. The whole bill came to $225.In terms of environment, it was lovely with lots of plants. In terms of environment, it was lovely with lots of plants. Very bright and warm as the cafe has a wood and white tone throughout the decoration which complement the plants well.
The staff tried to be helper but obviously were still getting used to the system and the place which is understandable.
Quite a few people working in the kitchen but the food was dispatch rather slowly. The coffee however was really quick and up to the standard you expect from a proper barista. They do have oat milk or soy milk to opt for
Now honest reviews on the food
1. The tomato Camembert sourdough. The sourdough was nicely buttered and grilled but the Camembert cheese should be way better if they grill it so the cheese can melt a little. As shown on the picture, its just basically chunk of cheese in the middle of sourdough with a few tomato. Did look a bit sad and lack effort as it was quite a long wait.
2. The avo loaded-great salad bowl with beetroots, creamy and perfectly ripe avo, kidney beans, rocket leaves, diced chicken with a little curry power and couscous. Quite filling and healthy.
The toilet was a little damp. And the faucet is too powerful for such a small sink.
Hope they keep improving and will go back again
