We had just finished hiking and passed by this little gem late in the afternoon. We were famished and the fragrant scent of egglets was making us drool. As luck would have it, the store was closing for the day and we looked on in despair as the owner started to pack up the store. As a hail-mary we approached the storefront and semi-begged the owner to make a last batch. Not only did he oblige, but he did so with smile on his face and no attitude at all – very rare in HK these days! The egglets w

 The egglets were – of course – delicious! Freshly made and still very hot, the outer shell was extremely crisp and the inside was soft, creamy and, for lack of a better word, heavenly.


A must-try if you ever drop by Tai O
