he said he want to go to the nearest marco polo instead, so he came to the gateway one. obviously this is one of the oldest "restaurant" without rennovation in the past few years. i did not realise its so bad until i arrived (coz from the email i received in these chains hotels it looked alright)
the appetisers were just normal salad, that was alright, at least they reali do romaine lecttuce, but then the seafood variety were awful, i had a slight tummy ache afterwards n i m still thinking was it due to the only oyster i had. the shashimi were served with hot plates (no cold plates around) the hot dishes were not reali tempting either, normal curry and veg as u can expect anywhere else but with lower cost. the half lobster was served but then it was tasteless + soggy. i bet they jus cut if into halves before boiling it >.<" hoping the dessert would be better, they were slightly below average too. i had 2 scoops of movenpick ice-cream as a quality assurance at last
the place itself was dark (we were sitting in the far end) looking like those hotels in shanghai 30 yrs ago. i was surprised it was still full house on a monday night!
with 15% off from heng sang platnium, we regretted coming still
