It is only fitting that I will be writing this review since we went here upon reading the reviews of this place. We went here around 6:30 pm and there are only a few tables occupied so me and my wife were seated immediately. Upon the recommendation of the reviews, we tried the dan dan noodle, xiao long bao and pork buns. The staff was able to point to us which one on the menu is the dan dan noodle, we, being non-chinese language readers, are unable to see the words "dan dan noodle" in the english
We went here around 6:30 pm and there are only a few tables occupied so me and my wife were seated immediately.
Upon the recommendation of the reviews, we tried the dan dan noodle, xiao long bao and pork buns. The staff was able to point to us which one on the menu is the dan dan noodle, we, being non-chinese language readers, are unable to see the words "dan dan noodle" in the english translation of the menu. First came the dan dan noodle (52 HKD), it was a huge serving, good enough for two. This reminds me of laksa back in sg. We are very satisified with the taste and definitely will order this one again if we come back to this place.
Second is the pork bun (38 HKD). We are no experts in pork buns since the only tasted one other pork bun which is in tim ho wan. The bun is great and crispy as well as the filling inside which is warm and juicy. However, regarding the flavor, it is a bit bland for our taste buds. This is the only dish that disappoints.
Third comes the xiao long bao (33 HKD). This is highly recommended and this surely more than make up for the pork bun. The flavor is really good and it felt like the bun will melt in your mouth. Yum yum
We will definitely be back for the dan dan noodle and the xiao long bao!
