Hard to spot a decent Japanese restaurant in WanChai where most are bar or western food. My friend took to this authentic Japanese restaurant; located near CWB. The environment is decent and the waitress were explaining the dinner set to us patiently. She recommends us to try the hot pot set which is perfect for this weather. Side order a Uni roll. LOVE this. The Uni is fresh and there are lots of on top of it. I gobble two by myself. If not there are other dishes coming, I would order sushi non-stop. Sashimi comes after. Very thick pieces and juicy.
Grilled beef tongue. It is not salty and it great with beer. The waitress explained they only get the front part of the entire beef tongue because it is has the best quality. I see how serious they are to their choice of food. I feel like there are lots of choices here that you cannot decide what to order next. Here is the manuel of other food.
The seafood platter is here; the shrimp and scallop are incredibly fresh that the clams were still moving on the plate. The waitress offered to do the cooking for us. The service is wonderful.
She also explains to us that there is an order to eat Japanese hot pot. We should eat the seafood first then the veggie; because the beef will make the broth oily. Greentea ice cream for dessert.
