Located at the junction of Castle Peak Road, Taiwan Bowl has an eye-catching and cute rice as its signature icon. Looking from the outside, I can see that the restaurant is nicely decorated with this cute little rice too!I went in aiming for some minced pork rice, and was presented with this new menu, which was exactly what I had been craving for — hotpot food! Taiwanese Beef Satay Hotpot and Minced Pork Rice

The beef was quite chewy, a bit overcooked, probably stayed too long in the hot broth of satay. The satay broth was absolutely delicious that I kept sipping it with the food, and mixed it with the minced pork rice to enjoy it. I was very satisfied with the food inside the hotpot — clams, duck breast, mushroom meatball, chicken & shrimp spring roll wrapped with tofu skin, and glass noodles — all of them were very tasty on their own, and even better with the satay broth.
As for the minced pork rice, I opted for spicy one, and the chili really did work its magic! It was quite hot indeed! The minced pork rice was good, and the satay broth topped up the flavor of it.
A great value dinner set.
