It was so far the best Thai restaurant I had ever been. It's not fancy, but with really good food quality! There were many people waiting to be seated in front of the restaurant, luckily it's quite bit, and soon it was our turn. Saw that many people suggested butter naan here, so we gave it a try too. With the naan, of course we had to order a curry dish. It's been a while since I had red curry, and it went best with duck! So we had red curry duck, to go with the butter naan. It's baked, so it's
The other two dishes we had were charcoal grilled eel with Thai black sauce and lime; and sautéed water spinach in chilli, garlic, bean sauce. I just couldn't help myself from ordering eel, like I always did in Japanese restaurants. It was my first time trying Thai style though. It's totally different from Japanese ones, this one was a bit more smoky, but with the lime, it's refreshing. On the menu, in Chinese, it said slices of eel, so I thought it would come in thin slices, but it was still thick and juicy. Really delicious. Water spinach was a must have in Thai restaurants for me. Usually I had it stir fried with belacan. The chilli, garlic, bean sauce we tried this time was tasty too. I was afraid if it might be too spicy for me at first, it wasn't. The portion of sauce was just right. Yummy!~~ Water spinach they used was fresh as well.
Oh! One thing I did not like here... Pets were NOT allowed... Although it's a big restaurant with cover and air conditioning, it's not a fancy and super clean indoor restaurant. And it's located in rural area, many people like to walk their dogs nearby. I did not understand why pets were not allowed. It would be much better if pets could come in, as long as they don't cause any disruption to other customers.
