So I always have this weird crave for dim sum from time to time. Passed by here after yoga class and really really want to have some dimsum. My friend and I decided to try this new place out. Not until we looked at the menu that we realize this place is a branch from a dimsum place at prince edward and the PE branch is already very famous!!! I especially like the rice tea that they serve at the place - innovative and very refreshing. So we tried almost every recommended dish we wanted:1. Abalone

Not until we looked at the menu that we realize this place is a branch from a dimsum place at prince edward and the PE branch is already very famous!!! I especially like the rice tea that they serve at the place - innovative and very refreshing. So we tried almost every recommended dish we wanted:
1. Abalone Siumai
2. Pawn dumping
3. Chinese Soup
4. bbq pork cheungfun
5. Truffle mushroom dumplings
6. Dumpling in soup (Koon Tong Gao)
7. Herbal Chicken Feet
8. Steamed Custard Bun
I have to say every single dish tastes awesomely delicious. They were freshly made and I definitely tasted no MSG. Let's talk about individual dishes.
The soup was the first thing to be served. It was cuttlefish 'jik gua' soup. They say they have different soup every day as the chef changes the soup mmenu every day. The soup was very nicely cooked - very nutritious and definitely no MSG added (I had entirely no urge to drink water after the soup)
Next, the dim sums. So they serve several kinds of siumai here, Abalone, original and quail egg siumai. We were feeling fancy that day (plus it doesn't cost that much) so we got the abalone siumai. First I have to mentioned the size of all these dimsum.. They are in generous portion - the siumai and prawn dumplings are as big as a ping pong ball! I also like how the stuffing in the dumplings is not minced: I could chew distinctively 2-3 prawns in every single dumpling. I just loveee the juiciness of the prawns!! As for the siumai, the abalone on top of the siumai was definitely not sliced or anything- it was just one original abalone on top of the siumai. If you like a bit more flavour, you must like the extra flavour from the abalone.
Other recommended dishes include the medicinal chicken feet - unlike the traditional soy bean chicken feet, this is much less oily and less strong in taste. The hint of medicinal herbal and the tender chicken feet makes the whole dish more like a soup❤️
As for the cheung-fun. I like how it is cut already and nicely arranged. Nice touch of coriander and the bbq pork is surprisingly tender too!!!❤️❤️
All in all, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Also note that, there is NO 10% charge required!! I mean, who can resist good food, healthy recipe and super affordable price????
