「Gam Zaa」Steamed Dumplings filled with Pork And Red Fermented Bean Curd.
Ordered this because of the filling, but the dumpling skin was thick and I would have liked the pork to be leaner. Chongzing Pork Wontons with noodles:
The wontons were taut and the pork was lean, while the noodles were too soft.
The broth was quite spicy. Pan-fried Cheese Dumpling:
I was expecting just cheese but it had pork and sweetcorn as well. The sweetcorn stole the show so you couldn't taste any cheese. Pairing cheese and onion is a no brainer in Western cuisine but it also depends if they use good cheese or processed cheese which really affects the taste. For drinks had the Hawthorn Pear Water which has Pear, Licorice, Rock Sugar, Malt and Water.
The drink was not too sweet and it was soothing. I loved the Dumplings with Matsutake Mushroom & Pork (With Zong Jyun Gau Ding Soup).
The dumplings tasted really earthy because of the mushrooms. Also had the crispy tofu filled with Matsutake Mushroom, they were great but a bit too oily. The golden eggs were my favourite because they were spicy and delicious.
