Having had one of Sift's red velvet cupcakes previously (which are soooo good~) I have always wanted to visit their dessert bar to try their much talked about 'Sift chocolate cake'. It was actually pretty good... smooth, velvety chocolate mousse encasing layers of chocolate sponge cake accompanied with sprinkles of chocolate wafer. It was rich, but not overwhelmingly so unlike the other dessert ordered.
The molten chocolate cake came out collapsed with its innards spilling everywhere so definitely not the most appealing in terms of presentation. Luckily it tasted much better than it looked... seriously chocolately, but became overly sweet after a few bites even with the vanilla ice-cream to cut through the richness.
Despite the molten chocolate cake being so-so, I'm still coming back to try their other desserts~
