I was planning to eat dim sum with my parents today for our monthly meeting affairs. I recommended to them to have Lo Dim as their quality of food was always consistent whenever i ate. It was located at Yim Po Fong Street, around 5 minutes walk from Mongkok MTR. This small dim sum restaurant have been quite popular for awhile, coming up with innovative dim sum dishes. This small dim sum restaurant have been quite popular for awhile, coming up with innovative dim sum dishes. Their menu offered a wide range of traditional and innovative dim sum and desserts etc.
Steamed rice rolls with prawn - The skin of the rice rolls was thin and smooth, yet did not break off easily. The size of the prawns was huge and juicy, complimenting nicely with the rice rolls.
Steamed siu mai with fish roe - The size was huge and round, as per generous portion. I could taste the freshness and the texture of the meat, as it was chewy. Fish roe furthered helped to enhance the taste as it made it more flavourful.
Spring rolls with shrimp & thousand island dressing - It was fried till very crispy and yet not too dry. The shrimp inside was juicy and compliment nicely with the dressing sauce.
Steamed chicken feet with XO sauce - It was steamed till it was very soft and juicy, easily chewing off those little bones. It was flavourful, but not much XO sauce though.
Cabbage in chicken soup - The cabbage was cooked till very soft, even the roots. The cabbage has absorbed the essence of the chicken soup and was very juicy.
Steamed pandan chiffon cake - The cake was soft, easily chewing off. It has strong pandan taste as well.
