To start with, we had a Jasmine tea smoked and cured silver pomfret, salad of local greens, and lemon. The chef introduced the dish to us in a nice way which made us felt like we were having a fine dining experience. We were told that the fish was of top quality and suitable to eat as sashimi. It was more chewy than I thought and had a funny taste. The greens were very fresh and tasted so good with the sauce.

The other starter we ordered is this Burnt Choy Sum, Gai Lan and Kale with Parmesan Gnocchi. The cheesy gnocchi got my heart immediately! And the veggies were so tasty that even a veggie hater like me can’t stop digging in. I adored the kale most as it’s like kale crisps.

Main was a Locally Raised Iberico Pork, Mushroom Risotto, Toasted Pearly Barley with Smoked Cabbage. I love the smoked cabbage dearly, the crispy top was like vegetable crisps, and the underneath layers were still juicy and fresh! The pork belly was delicious with a crunchy skin. And the iberico pork was very meaty. The mushroom risotto was definitely a highlight! I wish the portion was bigger though.

Dessert was a Roselle consomme, mochi, date and ginger. We ordered Pu’er tea ice cream sandwich, but since these two items are printed on the same line on the menu, we were served these mochi instead…It was a bit disappointing. The mochi was nice, but the other stuff weren’t quite what we wanted…The roselle was quite sour too…

The restaurant has a great fine dining vibe with all the wine bottles on the shelves as decoration. It got pretty busy after 8pm on a Friday night when we visited, so make sure you make a reservation or visit early.
