Environment: Simple decoration, warm and cozy. Location is convenient, but not much parking lots around.Service: One man job at that night, but the service was still pretty good, maybe it's because we were the only customers in the restaurant. The boss/chef(Andrew) there was very polite and chatty. Sadly, when I made the booking with the lady(Anita), I asked her to prepare a birthday cake for my wife, they, however, forgot to do so! I really thought it was a critical mistake, but I just let it
Service: One man job at that night, but the service was still pretty good, maybe it's because we were the only customers in the restaurant. The boss/chef(Andrew) there was very polite and chatty. Sadly, when I made the booking with the lady(Anita), I asked her to prepare a birthday cake for my wife, they, however, forgot to do so! I really thought it was a critical mistake, but I just let it pass and didn't make a complaint to him, as I didn't want to ruin this special night.
Cleanliness: Not bad at all, clean and tidy.
Taste: 1) Welcome drink, my wife said it was actually ok, but at that moment, I was just fascinated with the red wine(Cheteau Hant Brion), so I can't quite remember the taste of this drink. 2) bread/butter, bread was lukewarm, and the garlic butter was somthing we rarely taste, very special. 3) Pan-fried Foie Gras, it looked nice, the foie gras itself was crispy but not greasy at all, very impressive. 4) shrimp soup, it really tasted like a lobster soup, pretty thick and creamy. 5) Seafood soup, it's for my wife since she's allergic to shrimps. I tried some of hers, very fresh but a bit too light to me. 6) Duck breast salad, it was ok, especially the vegetable was perfectly seasoned and fresh. 7) Sorbet, it was pretty much like yoghurt, the flavor was nice. 8)"Aurora" rack of lamb, the portion was generous, the meat was juicy, but it was a bit overcooked. 9)"A5 wagwu", I didn't try but my wife said it was not bad, though it's no way better than the one we had in Kobe. 10) Cheese cake, it's fine but what a pity that it didn't come with a candle.
Price: Price was fair, despite the fact that it's more expensive than other restaurants of the same kind.
Overall: Our dinner was at a very relaxed pace, atmosphere there was very pleasant, and food quality was very good too, I would say it's even better than some other so-called fine dining restaurants in hong kong; But the disadvantage was that they didn't offer a wide choice of food, it's just a small restaurant after all.
