I have always been a big fan of Dalloyau and this is my 6th time visiting. I have tried all of the cakes, Dalloyau, the lemon tart and the dark chocolate tart have always been my favourites. This time I ordered the Dalloyau and lemon tart again and the moment I saw the Dalloyau cake I knew something was different. I asked the server why does the Dalloyau cake looked different and she said they changed the recipe!! Not only the look of the cake was different, more importantly the taste of the cak

I have always been a big fan of Dalloyau and this is my 6th time visiting. I have tried all of the cakes, Dalloyau, the lemon tart and the dark chocolate tart have always been my favourites. This time I ordered the Dalloyau and lemon tart again and the moment I saw the Dalloyau cake I knew something was different. I asked the server why does the Dalloyau cake looked different and she said they changed the recipe!! Not only the look of the cake was different, more importantly the taste of the cake completely changed!! I remember the first time tasting this cake it really lived up to the name as a signature and I became a fan ever since. The original cake had small crystallized caramel crunch along with similar sized nuts on the outside of the cake and inside was layers of very smooth praline mousse. This time the cake was covered with big pieces of rough peanuts and the inside was overloaded with rough praline mousse which completely destroyed the balance of the original cake. I do not understand the reason behind changing the recipe but please revert back to the original recipe and live up to the quality expectations!
