They were not big about customer service here; I am not saying they are rude, it just doesn’t seem to be something they pay attention to. After they showed us our seats, they set 2 glasses of water down and they are done until you wavy at them.

Their menu was quite extensive, from regular omelet rice to sandwiches and all day breakfasts. The main focus of the visit was to try their omelet rice in different sauces so we decided to go simple: 2 egg omelet rice dishes.

We started with an appetizer: Potato Wedges; hot and crispy wedges that comes with ketchup and yummy Dijon mustard; potato was a bit dry, like it was reheated one too many times. It was alright.

First rice omelet: Hayashi beef omelet rice, it looked so appealing on the plate! Runny egg on ketchup rice floating on a bed of specialized sauce, I was drooling! Unfortunately the taste is not as appetizing as the presentation. The egg was moist and smooth but lacks the egg flavor; the sauce wasn’t too special either, tasted like watered-down gravy. The beef was so tough it’s honestly not editable, like it was used cooked for 6 hours in a stew then reused in this dish. However, the worst part is: the rice was room temperature, NOT even lukewarm. That is quite gross when you try to imagine how long that rice had been sitting around to be at that temperature.

Menu name of our second omelet was “Deep fried breaded pork chop with curry sauce omelet rice”; it was basically pork cutlet curry rice but with 2 sauces: a curry sauce and a creamy cheese sauce. Pork cutlet was alright, a bit tough and dry again. The rice was dry and very hard, almost like it wasn’t properly cooked yet. At least this rice had a temperature: it was lukewarm. The curry sauce is a little less flavorful than the instant packaged ones; the creamy cheese sauce was neither cheesy nor creamy, it was a bland white sauce that I can’t descript what it tasted like, because it didn’t taste like anything was in it.

This was truly a disappointment, given the standard of their sister restaurant, I did not think they could be so bad. I don’t like giving sad faces in reviews because I believe most restaurants are not overall bad enough to make me frown; but this one is pushing the boundaries. I can’t see myself coming back in the near future.
