Was super excited to visit these 2 Michelin Stars restaurant Écruiture. But sometimes when you have a high expectation, quite likely there would be disappointment. Will I ever visit again? Maybe. Can’t taste any crab. The bitterness of mikan overpower the crab.

Pheasant and Galinette/ Caviar - Galantine, carcass jelly, lovage cream, white truffle (supp. $198)
The least favourite dish of the day. Especially when they introduce the carcass jelly as “leftover chicken jus”. There’s no flavour at all. The pheasant is beyond dry. Quite disappointed.

My friend’s choice is great! The smoked trout tasted lovely.

Duck Foie Gras and Abalone - soup and liver mustard
This soup is way too salty and not in a good balance. Julienning the black truffle gave a weird texture. Don’t really understand the concept of this dish. Feel like they put all the luxury ingredients in a bowl that’s it.

Meat is tender but nothing special.

Live caught Sole - Morel, Ikura, chorizo, sauce vin jaune
Another great fish dishes. Very colourful plating. To sum up, I think they do pretty well on fish dishes.
