June 20' 2018(Wed), one of my colleagues arrived "Bistro 1979" at 11:44am, but was told to wait till Noon, outside of restaurant which has no seating space. When all 4 of us were seated, the student waitress quickly offered us water and small piece of ciabatta bread. The portion of butter was really small. 😞 We ordered 3 portions of scallops with caviar and salmon roe, and a portion of mixed salad as Appetizers. For main courses, we ordered 3 x Panfried fillet of Barramundi and 1 x slow

We ordered 3 portions of scallops with caviar and salmon roe, and a portion of mixed salad as Appetizers. For main courses, we ordered 3 x Panfried fillet of Barramundi and 1 x slow cooked Pork Loin. Nevertheless, when the main courses were delivered to table, they were just luke warm, not even hot. The Barramundi fish's skin were not crispy, nor any taste of the fish fillet . I have to keep adding pepper powder to bring up my palates. As my 3 other colleagues finished their main courses earlier than me, I was taking my time to enjoy the fish, yet I was being asked 3 times to clear away my plate. That was quite annoying.....
At the end of the meal, there was no one to ask us about our dining experience, it was really disappointing. Not even the Manager came to greet or canvass us.
Given that it is a training restaurant for student trainees to learn about service etiquette, certainly there is room for improvement.
I personally wouldn't recommend to dine here again with such Food Quality and the price of set lunch @HK$125/person with only appetizer + main course + coffee/tea.
