We went in with high hopes, the menu looked good, the artzy fresh lobster display appealing, the decor decent, oh how looks can be deceiving.

We started with some sake and yellowtail carpaccio, both high points as it went down hill from here.

When we asked the older male wait staff if the menu item mentioned twice, once on one page and once on another with two different prices we were sharply cut off... you may have been asked the question before, don't take it out on us.


Our selection of 'creative' and 'innovative' sushi and rolls arrived after 15 mins and this is where the real troubles started, it was throughly disappointing. The sushi rice was gluggy and poorly formed, the scallops dry and the sashimi haphazardly sliced.

As we come from a service background, we felt it was a good idea that the message was passed on to the chefs so that they are aware of the quality of food they are serving, our first attempt taken by the manager was in vain as we watched him walk past the sushi counter and aimlessly around the restaurant for 5 mins. We then told a young female waiter who walked directly up to the lead chef, gave him our feedback and walked back to us with the message from the chef 'that it was not he who cooked the rice today'... this sums it up really.
