Mom took me to this place to have dinner after my long 16 hours flight. I was like alright.. So many Chinese restaurants around and you decided to take me to a place that serves "western food".. It must be really good or else you wouldn't bring a Torontonian to a place like that. Alright, the decors are so adorable. Grabbed our seats, checked out the menu and OMG!! English menu!!!

I was so glad cause I can't read Chinese!! So after the servers were loudly chatting over 10 mins and finally noticed we were waving at them, a male serve came around and I was saying "Hey there! How are you today?" With a smile on my face and he seemed so scared of me.... Sorry if I scared you with my Canadian manner.. Ordered a set dinner with Spanish paella. And the server delivered it to my table within 5 mins. That means something's wrong. First off, the veggie soup was bitter. I couldn't even have a second sip. And the paella? That was a disaster. It was microwaved. No way in hell you can make a paella in 5 mins not to mention you have to let it rest. The shrimps were frozen, over cooked and blend. I didn't even bother to try that mussel. AND YOU DONT PUT CHEESE IN A PAELLA!!! The whole plate was blend. It seemed like the chef there has an allergy against salt. Hey but who am I to say anything? Maybe that's what Hong Kong people like? $79 for one person portion of paella and it didn't even taste decent? I'd say that's overpriced. I can get an authentic paella in Toronto that could serve 4 at $50CAD. Don't even get me started how cheap paella is in Spain.

The service was terrible too. The server never said a word. And when I paid the bill at the counter, the girl didn't even bother to say thank you.. I tip my server no matter where I go in the world even in Europe. But like seriously? They dare to put a tip jar at the counter.... Thank god The culture here doesn't require you to tip. I wouldn't even know how much to tip... Maybe 10 cents?
