Today, my friends and I went to this restaurant after watching The Lion King musical.  My friend booked a table for 3two days ago via the internet.  We arrived earlier than our booking time and we were assigned to a table right at the door (usually the last table to be assigned).  And so our "extremely dissatisfied" dining experience began:1. Today, my friends and I went to this restaurant after watching The Lion King musical.  My friend booked a table for 3two days ago via the internet.  We arrived earlier than our booking time and we were assigned to a table right at the door (usually the last table to be assigned).  And so our "extremely dissatisfied" dining experience began:

1. The Causeway Bay location does not serve waffle anymore and the server claimed that they meant to tell us by calling us TODAY (when we were watching the musical).  But my question is --> Why didn't they tell us when we made the reservation?  We actually come for the waffle!
2. All our soup was served in a dog-like bowl (like a home-use bowl with funny pattern), but we observed that we were the only table that was being served using such bowls.  Also, when we asked for some bread to go with our soup, the server "innocently" told us that they only serve bread with LUNCH set.  I mean, not only that a $590 4-course dinner set doesn't not come with a piece of bread to go with the soup, but you tell me that a "cheaper" lunch set comes with bread? 
3.  One of our main course was lobster paella and a lobster cracker was given.  Later, the serve came and picked up the cracker in his hand without a word and my friend stared at him.  Only at the moment that he started to "explain" that he had to take the cracker away because we were not using it and that there were not enough crackers and the other table asked for one.  We were not mad, we were furious! We told him that were leaving it for later use and he only put it back on the table when we told him that he should let the cracker stay on our table because it was put on our table FIRST!

I don't blame the server for providing bad service, but I would definitely blame an employer for not training a server properly.  This is a chain restaurant and its service doesn't even meet the basic standard!  In addition, it is not a cheap restaurant - the regular Dinner set for 2 is selling at $589 and a 4-course dinner set ranges from $400-600 per person.  We don't feel like we are paying for the food and service that we deserve! Overall, very dissatisfied dining experience!
