The interior is modern with LED panels surrounding the walls. But do not let the interior fool you into thinking this is a fine dining restaurant with high quality food. I can assure you, you will only leave with disappointment. The food is mediocre. I do not make this statement light heartedly nor easily. The food is mediocre. I do not make this statement light heartedly nor easily. However, this restaurant was truly lacking in taste and in quality. Perhaps we were wrong to come into this high end looking restaurant hoping for above average meals. What I can say for certain is that it is not fine dining. The food is not even good enough to be considered casual home cooked meals.
We ordered oysters, smaller than the size of my thumb and of course, they were not fresh. We gave their recommended small bite a try, fried zucchini with anchovies and cheese. If you gave me a magnifying glass, I would not be able to pick out the anchovies even if my life depended on it. I was under the impression that ingredients were suppose to be present in each dish. Other small bites were only soso, probably better if they just dumped a bag of chips and called it a day. After 45 minutes, our mains were served. First came our margherita pizza. First time seeing a pizza with non-existent tomatoes (nor tomato sauce) or basil. Fresh mozzarella cheese? Don’t even think about it! We were concerned as we initially thought they served us the wrong pizza, I mean that surely had to be a mistake since there were no tomatoes or basil or fresh cheese anywhere. Nonetheless, the staff insisted this was correct and that this was their version of a margherita pizza. Pizzas are not easy to make without the actual ingredients present, so you can imagine the taste. Then came the seafood paella which was burnt to a crisp. The rice was so hard and burnt it was barely edible. The seafood were all dried up and it was such a waste even if they didn’t serve fresh seafood. My guests could not even ingest this paella. By now we are starving from the wait and inedible dishes. The next two dishes served were red prawn pasta and squid pasta. The pastas were very small in portion, generally sizes are not much of a concern if the flavors are mind blowing. Thus, this was not the case. The squid pasta tasted like cheap fried noodles and not even one from a good cha chaan teng. Ingredients were low in quality and none served fresh seafood. For such mediocre dishes, it was highly disappointing to say the least especially after waiting over 45 minutes.
There is nothing positive I can review about this restaurant. Perhaps the highlight of this meal would be the decor and the fruit juices we ordered. Other than that, you’re better off spending your hard earned money elsewhere. We will not make the mistake of visiting this restaurant again.
