So, another casual dinner, which turned out to be absolute AWESOMENESS. The GF attempted to book some dinner for us in TST for KBBQ in this quaint (quaint in a Korean way) restaurant for some KBBQ action. The restaurant doesn't take bookings, but hey, that's OK, cos that's usually the sign of a good restaurant! Her theory is that we should go for quality over quantity (i.e. set portions over all you can eat), cos the quality's probably better, and net-net you're probably paying about the same (she

So we turned up at this place - looked pretty unimpressive to be honest, and took a number. Went for a pleasant stroll, to come back only to find that our number had already been called! no matter, says the hero 服务员, and gives us the next available table! (what a nice guy!).
Menu looks reasonably priced, and we decided that we WANT to go for the combo platter (includes beef, chicken, pork, prawns and squid). But alas, the GF doesn't do beef. No matter! hero 服务员 no. 2 comes along and says we can cater to your needs! We ask him to swap our beef for more pork, No problemo! We also asked for the squid to be swapped to scallops. Again, not a problem! This guy was a HERO!
So we initiate the engagement of our animated conversation, when all of a sudden, a plethora of side dishes was presented before us (see attached picture!).
Another couple 踮檯ed with us and they didn't have KBBQ, but they had something which also looked equally tasty & gorgeous! We are planning to come back for a non KBBQ experience.
P.S. the 山楂酒 was good too! (try it - it's like sake and plum wine combined). We were full, happy and buzzed. ^^
