Doraemon is cool robot cat that goes on fun adventures with his friend. It's a character based on a series on Japanese mangas and anime. He's popular throughout Japan and Asia. Though I grew up in Canada, I did watch the anime that was in French so I really didn't know the actual Japanese names until I got older. Later, I moved here and had to learn the Chinese translated names of the characters. And soon he will be moving to the US as he's now bought by Disney and word has it, Disney has change
Anyways, A-1 Bakery is doing a special Doraemon series of pancakes that can be bought at any of their A-1 Bakery outlets and their cafes will have a pancake dessert. This promotion is until July 12.
They have three different pancake types. Nobita has chocolate custard and cream filling. Dorami has custard and cream filling. Doraemon has red bean and cream filling (as red bean is his favorite so that makes sense). They are $18 each.
I bought Doraemon, of course! It was heavier than I expected. The pancake wasn't really pancake in texture. But more like a butter cake. It was pretty dense and you reallly need a tall glass of milk after eating this. The filling was not very thick but more like a thin spread of red bean and cream.
I got a card shaped like the pink door. Inside you are to write what your dream bread woudl be. You deposit your dream at the box found at A-1 Bakery. At the end of the promotion, they will draw 110 winners to get nifty Doreamon related prizes.I don't know. My dream bread would not have tasted like this pancake, that's for sure.
