Egg Waffles, a childhood favorite

As we were leaving the Wanchai Computer Centre, my brother wanted to buy some egg waffles from the famous stall on O'Brien St.  There were a few people waiting in line around 6pm on a Thursday night.We decided to buy 2 slabs, so we could bring some home for mom, and it's a little cheaper.The stall had many celebrity pictures hanging to show its popularity.The lady behind the counter was working the waffle irons like a robot pouring the batter, flipping the iron, and removing the egg waffles.We g

 We got our 2 bags of egg waffles a couple minutes after paying for them.  The egg waffles were not filled completely like the ones I had from Ngong Ping last year, but it had a good amount of filling and it was about half-filled.  The egg waffles had a crispy crust and a cakey inside.  The egg flavor was not strong enough though.

For egg waffles on Hong Kong Island, 2 bags for $24 is a decent price, and the quality is already better than the over-priced ones from Causeway Bay.
