Jean May is definitely one of the hardest-to-book restaurants in town! Reserved our table 3 months in advance and I’d say it’s worth the wait👍🏻To start with, we tried the 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩 ($88). The sweet red onions go perfectly with the silky smooth chicken liver pate and crispy toasts.𝙃𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞 𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙙𝙤 ($198) was definitely my favourite! Served with pickled peppers, the dish has a vibrant citrusy flavour and it’s very refreshing. For main, we ordered the 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙣𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧 ($278). I must say I don’t

For main, we ordered the 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙣𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧 ($278). I must say I don’t really like ordering fish when dining out becoz sometimes it can be quite fishy. Yet they did a great job here, the red snapper was cooked perfectly - soft flesh and crispy skin.
No matter how full we are, there’s always room for desserts. Decided to go for their Specials of the Day - 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 & 𝙃𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙡𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 instead of the Signature Red Dates Pudding. It’s very chocolately and perfect for chocolate lovers🍫 Also had the 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙚 ($18/ 𝙥𝙘), fresh out of the oven, they are light, fluffy and taste heavenly, 🤤 I regret only ordering one piece!
We had a great afternoon here and enjoyed the deletable dishes. Staff were friendly too. Love this cozy neighborhood French bistro and would return🤎
