first time in Tai Kun actually and was stunned by how beautiful the place was, including the Chinese library. as you step into the restaurant, you won't think you are in HK at all!! could be a restaurant in Ginza or the Bund. The service was excellent, we had Nina the lovely lady for our table, she was really inviting to take any comments for the set menu that we had, and she was so enthusiastic about her service, so cheerful and we had the best service we experienced for as long as we remember

The restaurant even gave me a birthday card, signed by all the staff. the manager took nice photos of us, Nina insisted that I had a take away printed copy in a nice frame. Nina really made our night.
since it was my first time here, I didn't expect anything and at the end I felt very spoilt. the staff were wonderful. Nina even introduced the head chef to us, he was very nice as well.
my husband (Caucasian) found the food excellent, while I find it a bit bland but could be a good thing as it could mean it had less artificial flavours. everything was beautifully presented. dessert with the set menu could be more special. try do something traditional but special like 拔絲香蕉? we had 湯圓。
