It was an ordinary day. However, once we stepped into this restaurant, it evolved into an everlasting feast!Three kinds of breads - Grain, tomato and olive. Amuse Bouche - I found the cold soup very refreshing. The texture is interesting as I haven't tried it before. The taste is rich and thick. With the sweet and sour favor, my stomach cannot wait for the main course.
Beef capaccio - love the combination of thinly sliced raw beef and arugula. The meat favour covers the bitterness of the arugula. Both my friend and me haven't tried raw beef before and we were wondering if we could finish the whole dish. It turned out to be love at first bite and it became one of my favourite Italian dish.
Burrata cheese with trio of tomato, baby lettuce. No doubt it is tastier than fresh mozzarella not only due to its creaminess but also its ultra soft texture just like butter. The small pieces of anchovies are good mix with the cheese. No wonder it is one of the famous dishes.
Hokkiado Sea Urchin risotto - totally worthwhile to try the signature dish of Locanda dell' Angelo. The freshness of Hokkiado Sea Urchin fully emerged into the risotto that is so rich and creamy that you would want to eat your tongue as well, definitely deserves a big thumb-up. The risotto was perfectly cooked that it is just rich texture. The sea water taste was also stronger as the chef had cooked the rice together with fresh urchin so every rice has absorbed the rich favour of the urchin, which made the sea urchin risotto here stand out from directly eating the raw sea Urchin.
Duck fettuccine - another above average dish that the home made pasta. However, in comparison to the sea Urchin risotto, it doesn't appeal as much as it should.
Lamp chop - the lamp is perfectly cooked at the right level of rawness that it is juicy but not bloody.
Sea bream - another dish worthy my thumb-up. The fish skin is crispy while the flesh is juicy and palatable. The Italian broccoli purée is so fresh and sweeter than ordinary one.
Cannoli. Its a traditional Sicily dessert which is a tube-shaped pastry filled with sweet and creamy ricotta filling together with powdered sugar. The shell is crispy and the filling was fairly sweet. The chocolate pudding was rich that the cocoa bitterness stands out very well.
Tiramisu together with a chilled glass of coffee granita - its signature dessert gives you a mix of bitter and sweet taste that largely reduce the full feeling after it's above standard dishes. Instead of eating one bit of the coffee granita and then another bit of tiramisu, I mixed both of them together and the iced coffee granita mixed perfectly with the soft and creamy tiramisu. What a great finish of the extraordinary night!
