Halloween is that time of year that I love like Christmas. I love looking at what cool Halloween themed food that I can find and probably try.Sweets House Cha Cha has some Halloween themed items. One was a cream puff version of a Jack O'Lantern with pumpkin cream in it ($32). The other was ice cream with a ghost stuck in it ($45). You can choose either matcha or Hoikkaido milk as the ice cream base. Or even a twist if you wanted. I decided on matcha. Perhaps I should have chosen Hoikkaido milk because it just didn't work out. It was drizzled in black sesame sauce which made the bitterness of the matcha even stronger than usual. This came out to one seriously bitter ice cream. It was almost like eating cough syrup. It was that bitter. There was a buttery shortbread ghost shaped cookie stuck into the ice cream. It was a pretty big ghost that I feared it would fall off. Cookie tasted ok. Not great but ok.
Disappointed by this Halloween treat. I wouldn't order this again if they bring it back next year.
