Went with my family of 3 and were recommended to try the set with tapas and another 2-3 courses. We ended up ordering a la carte with 2 dishes per person. The place is quaint, has an elegant yet homey style. 1st order:1. Beef tartare: a tad salty and chewy, decent but nothing too exciting.2. Roasted langoustine: very fresh, perfectly seasoned with an artichoke and veggie side dish. 2nd order:1. Seared calamari: good consistency but nothing too exciting2. Red prawn pasta: PERFECT! 1st order:
1. Beef tartare: a tad salty and chewy, decent but nothing too exciting.
2. Roasted langoustine: very fresh, perfectly seasoned with an artichoke and veggie side dish.
2nd order:
1. Seared calamari: good consistency but nothing too exciting
2. Red prawn pasta: PERFECT! To our lik isn’t it’s very al dente, a bit more than most would like but it’s perfect to our palettes.
3rd order:
1. Chopped oysters with avocado and mixing: fresh start for the meal, light yet savory
2. Hokkaido uni risotto with wasabi and chives: very creamy with just the right consistency. Again, just the best al dente degree. Chunks of uni is definitely a plus! Good portion, close to perfection!
The meal paired well with an Italian Mosacto wine, not too sweet, quite a good match. Some dishes were superb, some were good enough. Definitely worth a visit, or two!
