So My friend finally bid farewell to HKG, and decided to host a private party on the terrace at Cassio.

I didn't really pay attention to the environment as it was a night party and the lights are really dim. All I could tell was the sofa setting was U shaped and quite comfortable to relax and chit chat with different groups of people.

She had a tailored menu and drink list on this occasion, that was lot cheaper than the A lar carte. The food and drink I ordered were:

Sangria: I believe it is the signature drink here. Honestly it tasted just perfect, as I could tell it was freshly mixed with traditional recipe, that you could find the diced fruits at the bottom of the wine glass. So the sweetness ain't from the sugary liquid but fresh fruits that were soaked and freezed over nights. I persoanlly preferred the traditional one mixed with red wine over the white.

All food were tapas bite sized.

Tortilla: It was served hot with a strong aroma of egg, love it, yet I couldn't seem to taste the potato.

Paella: I didn't know what kind of paella it was, but it just disappointed me. The texture of the rice wasn't that authentic compared to the one I tried in Barcelona. It was softened and not chewy.

Green pepper: This dish was simple but really, went well with alcohol. It was served hot, deep fried seasoned with salt, which came with a bit of crunchiness.

Iberico ham: A typical Spanish tapas, and it tasted just the way you expected, need I say more?

Services were attentive. The only interesting thing was, the restaurant opt for eco friendly policy and replaced all plastic straws with edible straws. At first I didn't notice that, so I was like drinking, then having this small habit (I believe most ladies do) of biting the straw, and IT BROKE! Jesus Christ...all pieces left in my mouth. I almost swallowed it while wondering what it was, then the staff came and friendly explained it to me that the straw was edible!

It sounded like a joke to me, so I asked what it was actually made of, and he replied, "flour". REALLY?!?!?!

I laughed off the night becoz of this tiny accident.

Edible straw, HAHAHA.
